First, stop trusting the DPI warning fix

The biggest mistake people make is thinking they can just upscale the image a couple times, make the resolution number bigger, and call it good.

That is not the same as making the artwork print-ready.

Choose the correction that addresses the actual problem. Background, wording and missing details need different checks from image size. Inspect the selected result at its intended physical dimensions before using it.

Upload the image you want to print

Open Upload in the AMS gang sheet builder. Start with artwork you own or have permission to use, and choose the physical size you intend to print.

Choose the help the artwork needs

Keep a good original as uploaded. Choose Fix with AI to request artwork changes, or staff File Fix if you want a person to handle it. Upscale is a separate path that keeps the original background and does not correct spelling.

Describe the change and check the quote

For Fix with AI, sign in, choose whether to remove the background and add a specific note. Say what should change and what must stay. Review the current generation quote before starting.

Compare the result and request a revision

Read every word and number. Compare the background, shapes, colors and edges. Use Request changes in the bulk editor for a specific revision; revisions have their own quote and a design holds up to eight versions.

Accept the selected version and prepare it

Looks good, make print ready accepts the selected candidate and starts its separately quoted preparation. Inspect the prepared result and its allowed physical size. This is not a paid print order.

Add it to the sheet and review your order

Choose Add to my sheet, then check size, copies, placement and the order total. For a later job, reuse the saved prepared design through My Designs. Edit the unprepared source if the artwork itself needs to change.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why is upscaling alone not enough?
Because bigger pixel dimensions do not automatically fix jagged edges, artifacts, and bad line quality. The stronger workflow is to rebuild the image, remove background junk, and vectorize where appropriate.
When should I vectorize an AI image?
When the design benefits from crisp, scalable shapes and you want to resize without the usual raster quality loss. SVGs can be scaled to any size without degradation.
Can I send the file to AMS instead of doing it myself?

What AI tools does this workflow support?
